Under 2.5 wins when the match finishes with two goals or fewer: 0-0, 1-0, 1-1 and 2-0 all land it. It is the disciplined punter's market, priced near evens rather than the short odds of the favourite-proxy bets, so a pick that lands actually pays. We rate Under 2.5 when both sides score below 1.3 goals a game, at least one defence keeps clean sheets in a third of matches or more, and the fixture profile (league scoring rate, stakes, style) points low.
