Each-Way Bet Calculator
An each-way bet is really two bets: half your stake on the win, half on a place (paid at a fraction of the odds). Put in the numbers and see exactly what you'd get back.
How an each-way bet works
An each-way (E/W) bet splits your money into two equal halves: one on the selection to win, one on it to place (finish in the top few — how many places depends on the market and field size).
If it wins, both parts pay: the win part at full odds, the place part at the place fraction (e.g. 1/4 of the odds). If it only places, just the place part pays and you lose the win stake. If it finishes out of the places, both halves lose.
So a £5 each-way bet at 9.00 with 1/4 place terms costs £10 total. Win: £45 (win) + £15 (place at odds of 3.00) = £60 back. Placed only: £15 back. That's why each-way suits bigger-priced selections in fields where placing is realistic.
